Wind profilers are ground-based radars designed to measure the wind profile of the atmosphere aloft.There exist different techniques to derive the wind: the Doppler technique and an ensemble of multiple receiver methods.After Garden Flags a brief description and an illustrative comparison, we discuss some of the outstanding questions that remain when considering Halloween those different techniques.Thus, we establish the need for a visualisation tool in order to better understand the working details of the different methods.The developed software philosophy is described in this paper while the focus is placed on its applications.
